Roman Catechism 26.34

Chapter 26 — Part III: The Decalogue — The Third Commandment

Section 34. "Six Days Shalt Thou Labour And Do All Thy Work" — And as the observance of the precept is very strongly assisted by these words: Six days shalt thou labour, but on the seventh day is the sabbath of God, the pastor should therefore carefully explain them to the people. For from these words it can be gathered that the faithful are to be exhorted not to spend their lives in indolence and sloth, but that each one, mindful of the words of the Apostle, should do his own business, and work with his own hands, as he had commanded them.
