Chapter 2 — Affirmation of Previous Councils

Section 3. Wherefore this present holy and ecumenical synod, faithfully receiving and welcoming with open hands the report of Agatho, most holy and most blessed pope of ancient Rome, which came to our most serene and most faithful lord, the great emperor Constantine, which cast out by name those who taught or preached one will and one operation in the dispensation of the incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ our true God; and in like manner having received the other synodal letter of the holy synod of one hundred and twenty-five bishops assembled under the same most holy pope, reached the same conclusions as Pope Agatho.
